What I like to recommend to my clients initially is to evaluate the existing landscape and original plantings. These may still hold great value simply in need of restoration and reduction pruning. Sometimes plant materials may exceed the size originally intended which interferes with the scale of the design. Furthermore, there may be elements which have appeared from voluntary sources. In other words, weed trees that have encroached and should be removed.

Along with discussing your initial aspirations, I will guide you into understanding the existing value and what steps can be taken to enhance your surroundings. The living elements of your surroundings are constantly changing and our journey will help you develop an awareness of your immediate environment. My goal is that you not only enjoy your space, but also feel comfortable entertaining; and, more importantly, derive satisfaction from maintaining certain elements on your own.
